Why I Do This Work
Almost 30 years ago, I walked away from a career in life insurance where I had achieved everything that looked like success:
Top awards. Recognition. Status.
But I couldn’t ignore the voice inside me saying: “This isn’t it.”
I took a leap and became the General Manager of a radio station—an industry I knew little about. But I knew people. I listened. I learned. I led.
Together, we built something powerful:
A team that felt seen, heard, and valued.
A culture where people worked in their zone of genius.
A business where every person understood their role in our collective success.
When I left that role, one question stayed with me:
What if more workplaces felt like that?
What if more people felt purposeful and powerful—not just at work, but in life?
That question became my mission.
And that mission became my company: People Development Consultants.
